Advanced OASIS Training

A hands-on training for
home health care professionals.

Accurate, concise OASIS documentation is critical to the continued success of Medicare certified home health care agencies. Validity of clinical documentation is suspect when contradictory data is recorded within the OASIS and between OASIS, 485 and visit notes. Many agencies are discovering gaps in documentation that are causing problems, i.e., deficiencies as a result of a survey. OASIS training is needed to reduce the risk of survey deficiencies.

Immediate Outcomes

  • Agencies will have new processes to improve OASIS/485 documentation.

  • Managers will have new skills to train, supervise and monitor staff and systems.

  • Clinicians will have a positive outlook as they acquire new techniques for applying their assessment skills to the OASIS.

  • There will be a greater feeling of security and confidence regarding accuracy of OASIS data and adequate outcomes management.
