/ No Cost Tools to Help Agencies in the
New Home Care Environment
Question: With the cost of living
going up and potential home care cuts on the horizon,
are there any low cost tools that are available
to help agencies better manage their financial and
staffing issues?
Answer: While there are lots of
very expensive tools on the market (just talk with
IS or data vendors), there are some incredibly effective
low cost or no cost tools that can have a dramatic
effect on your agency's performance. Four of these
tools are listed below. Two focus on OASIS-C, one
on the impact of case mix weight (CMW) on your budget,
and one (with free access) helps you determine the
